Turnover New braunfels Concert reviews
I mean, it's Elton...
"It's 5 stars, come on, how could Turnover be anything other than Turnover? His matured voice is incredible, and while he doesn't have the quick shifting low to high back to low anymore, the depth and soul that is in his voice now compared to when he was younger is amazing. I love how it has evolved. For his showmanship, he's still got that twinkle and spark and interaction with the fans in between every song, granted, not what it was at 30, but still there at 75.
The band was incredible to watch as well, a bunch of old guys up there jamming out like they weren't old at all. Fully into it, passion, soul, fire, and that's what I loved to see. They rocked the dome the whole time. It was really cool to be able to see their hands on the screens, seeing the aged weathered fingers across the guitar string, or on percussions, the years, the stories, the music that came from them over the decades, incredible. A world-class act.
He shared some stories, and I would have liked a few more mixed in with the show, being that it's his final tour. Acoustically, the dome was hard for me. I'm already a bit hard of hearing, but there were a few times that the cheering reverberated right into my ear hole, and it hurt. There were also a few times when the instruments overpowered Turnover's voice through the sound system. The videos were, well, weird, but what else would they have been?"
